Frequently Asked Questions
When will my order ship?
In stock orders will ship within 2-3 business days. Dyed-to-order skeins will ship within 14 business days. If you are ordering both in stock and dyed-to-order skeins your order will ship together upon completion of the dyed-to-order skein(s).
Do you accept returns?
Yes! Please read my return policy here.
Will you combine orders for shipping?
Absolutely! If I haven’t already shipped any of the orders, I will combine them and refund any overage in postage paid (if over $1 USD) when your order is shipped.
You sent me the wrong skein! What now?
Ah! I’m so sorry that happened. Please reach out to me here and I’ll make it right for you.
Help! Will you dye me sweater quantity of my favorite color?
Yes! If you need more than what’s available in my shop please contact me here and let’s make some yarny magic happen for you.
Will you dye a custom colorway just for me?
At this time I am not accepting orders for custom colorways.
Why doesn’t my yarn match the photo exactly?
Due to the nature of the hand-dyed and speckle process skeins will vary within and between dye lots. Because of this please expect some variation between the skein you receive the skein shown in the photo. I recommend alternating skeins every few rows on large projects.
Where do you get your yarn from?
All bases are sourced from farms that do not practice mulesing. I purchase from suppliers based in the U.S.
Can I buy your yarn in stores?
You sure can. Check out stores that stock Old Rusted Chair yarn across the country here.
Do you wholesale orders?
I do! Please drop me a note here if you are interested in wholesale ordering.
What is an Oldriginal colorway?
Oldriginals are one of a kind colorways and cannot be repeated. Sometimes they are tests for new colorways and sometimes they are variations of a current colorway. If you have a favorite Oldriginal, make sure to scoop it up before it’s gone!
Why did you send my yarn in a plastic bag?
I want to make sure your yarn arrives in pristine condition. The clear bags your yarn came in are made of 100% recycled content and are made in the USA. You can reuse them or recycle them with the rest of your plastic bags.
